Yes, but only in a very limited way. I may occasionally reply, but responses will be vague and not guaranteed. I won’t be providing support, group help, or long conversations after shutdown. The Roadmap is about stepping back fully, and DMs will reflect that — casual at most, not a channel for ongoing involvement.

That none of this was wasted. Every project, every group, every late night building something new — it all mattered. This retirement isn’t about leaving with regret, it’s about closing a chapter properly. If there’s one takeaway, it’s that FreshLane and everything that came with it wasn’t just mine — it was ours, and it leaves behind a story worth remembering.

I’ve spent over a decade on Roblox building FreshLane, McRonalds, and more. The Roadmap lets me close everything on my own terms, while preserving the legacy through books, my website, and Plush Daq’s museum.

Yes — but only until shutdown, and only while they remain practical. Any agreements I’ve already made will be respected and carried out during the Roadmap period, but I reserve the right to end them immediately if needed — whether now, prior to shutdown, or at any point before 2026. Once the groups close, all agreements will end with them. Nothing continues beyond retirement.

No. When the closure happens, the groups won’t come back. The focus is on preservation — my books, plush archive, and daqinix.com are where the history will live on; please note down the track these will close too.

No. Plush Daq is part of the archive and won’t ever be thrown out. He’s a symbol of everything I built, and he’ll stay with the preserved collection of books, merch, and memorabilia. The idea is preservation, not disposal — Plush Daq is here to stay as part of the legacy.

The best way to understand the timeline is to look at the Roadmap stages. They serve as a rough outline of how long things will last. Some parts may move faster or slower depending on activity, but the Roadmap gives the clearest picture of when projects will begin sunsetting and when retirement will be complete.

Yes. My books and merch will remain available through Amazon, Lulu, and my storefront. The shutdown only affects the Roblox groups, not the published works or archive; books will remain available for purchase long after this portfolio is taken down most likely late 2026.

Because this isn’t a rage-quit. I want time to wrap things up properly — publish my books, finish the plush archive, and give the community a chance to celebrate the decade before the curtain comes down.

Games will remain published in their final state until group closure. After that, some may be left online in legacy mode, but no new updates or management will happen.

Everything will live on through my books, website (daqinix.com), merch, and the museum project. That’s where the full history will be preserved.

Not necessarily. I may experiment with projects outside of Roblox — web development, media, and creative archives. What’s ending is my Roblox group leadership era, not my creativity.

Yes. Mid-2026 will include final events in FreshLane and McRonalds, which I’ll announce ahead of time. Anyone can join and be part of the closing moments.

Ranks and roles won’t carry forward once the groups close. Your time and contributions will still be remembered as part of the written and digital history, even if the Roblox systems go offline.

It’s a goodbye to the Roblox leadership era, not to me as a person. You’ll still find me through my website, projects, and community work outside Roblox.

The books focus on telling the overall story of the groups, projects, and milestones. Not every individual could be listed, but that doesn’t mean your contribution wasn’t valued. Everyone who took part helped shape the history — the book is just one way of preserving it.

I’ve said before that Keelan could take over, and I still stand by that. However, the final decision will be made closer to the time of closure. Right now, my focus is on completing the Roadmap and preserving the legacy. Leadership after 2026 isn’t guaranteed, but the option is there.

All groups under my ownership will be part of the 2026 shutdown — including FreshLane, McRonalds, Barlow County, and others I’ve founded. There won’t be exceptions, since the goal is to fully close the Roblox chapter and preserve everything in archive form.

The FreshPortal (AMS) system and APIs will remain online during the Roadmap period, but they won’t be developed further. At the point of full retirement, they’ll either be archived or shut down depending on stability. The intent is to preserve documentation so the system’s history is remembered, even if the live services go offline.

Even if ads or promotions gained traction, the plan wouldn’t change. The retirement is about closing a decade-long chapter, not chasing short-term growth. Success now doesn’t undo the bigger decision — the focus remains on archiving and preserving the legacy.

No refunds will be issued, as all purchases were for active services at the time. As for open-sourcing, some tools may be released publicly if they’re stable and documented, but most systems (like FreshPortal/AMS) will be archived rather than handed off. The goal is preservation, not redistribution.

This plan may be subject to change. If my current projects lose activity earlier than expected — if engagement drops and ads fail — the stages could be accelerated and closure may happen sooner. The roadmap shows my intent, but the exact timing will depend on how the community evolves.

No, I won’t be making plushies for general members. Plush commissions are limited to very notable figures across my decade — co-founders, co-owners, highly respected FreshLane CEOs, and of course my own mascot. They’re extremely expensive to produce, once-off creations, and I don’t want a flood of Roblox plushies diluting the archive. Each plush is chosen with care and tied directly to the legacy being preserved.

Each plush chosen reflects a cornerstone of my Roblox journey. My avatar is the central identity of my decade on the platform. Doom, Keelan, and Mythical each represent co-owners and close partners who carried FreshLane and other projects forward. TechGenGame is my original 2015 avatar — the one I started everything with. Together, these plushies are not random picks, but symbols of the people and milestones that defined the era. They’re part of the official archive, not collectibles made for everyone.

No. Every plush or book is something I budget and plan for carefully. These are legacy items, not mass-market products, and I treat them as once-off investments in preserving history. I don’t overspend, and I don’t take on projects I can’t afford.

No. I’ve always kept my finances separate from my Roblox projects. The work I’ve done in Roblox has been passion-driven, not profit-driven. I balance it with real-life income and savings, and I never put myself in a position where I can’t cover my own costs.

No. I’ve never earned a profit off FreshLane, McRonalds, or my other Roblox groups. Everything I built was for the community and for the experience, not for money. Any merch, plushies, or books I created were made at cost or for preservation — not to make a business out of it.

Yes, I’ve stepped back a few times over the years — usually to take a break, reset, or rethink direction. This isn’t one of those pauses. This is a planned, permanent closure of my Roblox groups and leadership role, documented and scheduled through the Roadmap. It’s not a break or a rebrand — it’s the end of an era done on my own terms, with a full archive so nothing gets lost.

FoodExpress was shut down because I never signed a formal legal contract with Virtual Diner’s original owner, Jacob, at the time of sale. Even though I purchased rights to use the source code, the agreement was only through Discord DMs — which doesn’t hold up in court. That left me exposed to potential legal risk and a possible lawsuit. To protect myself, I made the decision to close FoodExpress permanently, while continuing McRonalds and FreshLane as planned.

McRonalds wasn’t started as a long-term business — it was built as part of the final chapter. Mythical and I wanted to finish what we’d talked about for months and give the community one last, fun project before retirement. Even though I’m closing everything in 2026, McRonalds adds to the legacy and makes the farewell era more meaningful. It’s about completing the story, not starting a new one.

I’ve been on Roblox for over a decade, and the platform has changed a lot. Groups today need to be massive to stay active, and the community dynamic isn’t what it used to be. After ten years of building, leading, and experimenting, I’m ready to step back. This isn’t out of anger — it’s a planned closure that lets me preserve what I’ve built through books, plushies, and my website. It’s about ending on my terms, with a legacy that lasts, rather than dragging things out until they fade away.

No. I won’t be playing Roblox after 2026. My account may be deactivated, deleted, or will simply sit inactive 99% of the time. The same goes for Discord — the servers will be closed, and I won’t be maintaining an active presence there either. The Roadmap is about fully closing this chapter, not half-retiring. After shutdown, the archive on daqinix.com will be the only official place to revisit the history.

Eventually, yes. This portfolio site will remain online for some time after my Roblox retirement so the archive, books, and plush projects can still be accessed. But like the groups, it won’t be permanent forever — it will eventually close. The key goal is to preserve the legacy for a meaningful amount of time, not to keep it running endlessly.

The games will stay up in their final state for a while, but they will eventually break once the APIs and FreshPortal systems are shut down. Sunsetting will begin before full retirement, so you may notice features slowly stop working over time. By 2026, the systems will be fully closed, and the games will no longer function as they once did. They’ll remain as part of the archive, but not as live experiences.

Only for a limited time. Commissions through The Daqinix Club Portal will remain open during the Roadmap period, but they won’t continue indefinitely. As retirement progresses, I’ll wind them down and eventually close the portal. The focus is on finishing my projects, not starting new ones long-term.

Possibly. My Roblox-focused books and the Beyond the Crown podcast are tied to this chapter, but I may write or create outside Roblox in the future. For now, my main goal is to complete the legacy books and wrap up the podcast season as part of the farewell. Anything new beyond that would depend on where life takes me — but it won’t be Roblox-related.

All of my groups — not just FreshLane — will be part of the retirement plan. That includes smaller side projects and older groups I founded along the way. Some may stay visible in legacy mode for a while, but none of them will be actively managed after 2026. The focus is on closing everything together so the story ends as one complete chapter.

Barlow County is a joint-owned project, so it’s a little different from my solo groups. I will be resigning from my role in it as part of my 2026 retirement. What happens to the game after that will be up to the other owners. My involvement will officially end, but the project itself may continue without me.

No. I won’t be earning anything from Roblox after retirement. This has never been about profit — I’ve never taken home a profit from my groups, and I won’t be setting up ongoing payments after shutdown. The Roadmap is about closing, not cashing out.

No. Leadership will not be transferred to members outside of the few cases I’ve already spoken about (such as Keelan, which is still undecided). Groups will close with me. Allowing open transfers would defeat the point of retirement and archiving — it would just continue under a different name, which isn’t my intent.

Group funds will either be used up before closure (on ads, events, or giveaways) or left to run out naturally. They won’t be “cashed out” as personal profit. The focus is on finishing the projects properly, not draining funds. Once the groups are closed, the funds will effectively be frozen with them.

I’ve been planning retirement for months. On the surface, things may have looked normal last year, but behind the scenes I was already thinking about preservation and the best way to end on my own terms. The books, plushies, and website weren’t random — they were all part of laying the groundwork. What looks sudden from the outside has actually been a long, careful process.
